Three Gear lines, one survival goal
Parkour Pandemic by Rxinen Projects offers three mobility Gear lines purchased with Volts: Speed Gear, Power Gear, and Fusion Gear from Update 1. Each line unlocks different Gear Controls — they are not cosmetic skins but survival tools that change how you escape Void and other beta disasters.
This comparison page helps you decide purchase order without reading three separate guides first. For economy basics, start with the Volts Guide. For ranked-style priority, see the Gear Tier List.
Speed Gear — vertical mobility
Speed Gear unlocks Wall Boost (Space near a wall). It is the best first buy for most beta players because Update 1's map and Void disaster both reward vertical routes. Wall Boost turns tower walls into highways while lower floors void out.
Strengths: fastest Volts farming loops on high routes, strongest Void disaster synergy, essential for Update 1 Map mastery. Weaknesses: limited mid-air recovery — misjumps still kill without Power Gear backup.
Deep dive: Speed Gear page.
Power Gear — emergency recovery
Power Gear unlocks Air Blast (R) and Power Dash (Hold Q). Air Blast corrects bad jumps mid-air; Power Dash crosses wide gaps between surviving platforms after Void erosion deletes floors.
Strengths: stabilizes late-round panic, saves runs that Speed Gear alone cannot recover. Weaknesses: does not open new routes as dramatically as Wall Boost — it fixes mistakes more than it creates shortcuts.
Deep dive: Power Gear page.
Fusion Gear — hybrid endgame
Fusion Gear from Update 1 merges Speed and Power concepts into hybrid movement chains — wall-boost lines into Air Blast corrections across tower gaps. Community showcase videos demonstrate advanced Fusion routes that skip entire voided floor layers.
Strengths: highest skill ceiling, fastest speedrun lines on the Update 1 map once mastered. Weaknesses: expensive Volts investment, assumes you already understand Speed and Power inputs individually. Not required for casual beta enjoyment.
Deep dive: Fusion Gear page.
Side-by-side comparison
Purchase order consensus for Update 1 beta: Speed Gear first, Power Gear second, Fusion Gear third. Speed opens routes and earns more Volts; Power prevents deaths that starve progression; Fusion optimizes once basics feel automatic.
- Speed Gear — Wall Boost | Best for vertical Void escapes | Buy first
- Power Gear — Air Blast + Power Dash | Best for recovery and gap crosses | Buy second
- Fusion Gear — Hybrid chains | Best for advanced runners | Buy third
Platform-specific picks
Mobile players benefit most from Speed Gear early — Wall Boost reduces touch jump precision demands on narrow beams. Console players may value Power Gear slightly earlier if analog movement causes misjumps before route speed becomes the bottleneck.
