Gear extends your control kit
Base Parkour Pandemic controls cover Dash (Q), Slide (C), and Double Jump (Double Space). Volts unlock Gear tiers that add disaster-specific tools. Gear controls stack on top of base movement — they do not replace it.
This page documents confirmed Gear inputs from the beta build and Update 1. Always verify in-game tooltips after patches.
Speed Gear — Wall Boost
Speed Gear unlocks Wall Boost: press Space (or Jump on mobile/console) near a vertical wall while Speed Gear is equipped. You launch along the wall surface, converting vertical geometry into speed routes.
Wall Boost is the backbone of Void disaster survival because Void removes floors before it removes walls. Chain boosts on the Update 1 Map towers to stay above voided layers.
Power Gear — Air Blast and Power Dash
Power Gear adds two emergency tools. Air Blast (R) fires a mid-air impulse — use it when a jump falls short or Void edges creep beneath you. Power Dash (Hold Q) is a sustained dash with more distance and commitment than tapping Q.
Do not confuse Power Dash with standard Dash. Tapping Q wastes the Power Dash charge without full benefit. Hold through animation start before releasing if the beta build allows early cancel.
Fusion Gear — Update 1 hybrid
Update 1 introduced Fusion Gear, blending mobility concepts from Speed and Power lines. Fusion controls inherit Wall Boost-style positioning plus burst recovery tools — read Fusion Gear for purchase requirements and combo examples.
Fusion is a late-beta investment. Learn Speed and Power controls individually before relying on hybrid inputs in Void lobbies.
Suggested ability priority in rounds
Opening phase: Dash and Slide for Volts paths. Mid phase: Wall Boost to secure height before Void telegraphs peak. End phase: hold Air Blast or Power Dash for recovery only.
See Gear Tier List for which Gear to buy first so these controls actually unlock during your grind.
