What Speed Gear does
Speed Gear is the mobility-focused Gear line in Parkour Pandemic beta. Its signature ability is Wall Boost — press Space (Jump) near a wall to propel along vertical surfaces, turning walls into speed highways.
Rxinen Projects designed Speed Gear for players who want faster Volts routes and cleaner Void disaster lines. It is the most recommended first purchase in community beta tier lists.
Wall Boost mechanics
Approach a wall at a shallow angle, jump adjacent to the surface, and Wall Boost activates while Speed Gear is equipped. Chain multiple boosts to climb towers on the Update 1 Map without touching voided floors.
Wall Boost does not replace Dash or Slide — it complements them. Common combo: Dash to wall, Wall Boost upward, Slide onto landing beam.
When to buy Speed Gear
Purchase Speed Gear after you can consistently finish rounds using base Dash, Slide, and Double Jump. If you die in the first thirty seconds, fix fundamentals before spending Volts.
Once purchased, replay the same routes and note time saved — that time translates directly into extra Volts pickups before disasters peak.
Speed Gear in Void lobbies
Void deletes floors, not walls. Speed Gear owners gain a structural advantage — they can remain mobile while floor-based players stall. Read the Void Disaster Guide for positioning.
Speed Gear alone does not save bad Air Blast timing on wide gaps. Pair with Power Gear later for hybrid safety.
