Meteor Rain overview
Meteor Rain is a confirmed beta disaster in Parkour Pandemic by Rxinen Projects, tracked by the Survive Meteor rain disaster Roblox badge with over 1.4 million completions. Falling projectiles strike the map from above while the two-minute timer counts down, forcing players to read impact zones and stay under cover.
This hazard rewards vertical awareness — you must know which platforms have overhead protection and which open rooftops become death traps during the rain phase.
Mechanics and phases
Meteor Rain escalates in density: scattered impacts first, then clustered strikes on high-traffic zones. Shadow telegraphs on the ground precede most impacts — move on the shadow, not after the crater appears.
Impacts destroy tiles and create temporary holes. A platform that was safe five seconds ago may crater mid-crossing. Dash and Slide timing must account for delayed destruction, not just immediate knockback.
- Phase 1 — sparse impacts, learning shadow read timing
- Phase 2 — clustered strikes on wide platforms and bridges
- Phase 3 — dense rain; only covered routes and fast vertical chains survive
Route planning
Memorize covered corridors on the Update 1 Map — interior bridges and tower overhangs block strikes better than exterior ledges. Plan Volts pickups along covered paths during the opening phase.
Double Jump helps hop between sheltered islands when meteor density makes long ground crosses impossible. Chain Slide exits into immediate Dash to minimize time on exposed tiles.
Gear counters
Speed Gear Wall Boost lets you chain vertical surfaces when ground routes crater. Power Gear Air Blast saves mis-timed jumps between shrinking platforms.
