Why movement matters more than raw speed
Parkour Pandemic by Rxinen Projects is a disaster survival game first and a parkour game second — but the two layers are inseparable. Update 1 raised the skill ceiling with Void disasters that delete floors and a vertical map that rewards players who chain movement instead of spamming single jumps.
This guide focuses on base movement before Gear: Q Dash, C Slide, and Double Jump (double Space). Once those feel automatic, Speed Gear Wall Boost and Power Gear recovery turn good routes into great ones. Read PC Controls or Mobile Controls for your platform bindings.
Dash (Q) — burst without wasting momentum
Dash is your primary horizontal burst. Tap Q with a clear landing in mind — dashing off ledges without a follow-up Slide or Double Jump is the most common intermediate mistake. Dash preserves some forward velocity when chained into Slide on narrow beams.
During crowded Void finals, Dash sideways across surviving platforms instead of following the panic pack up a single ladder. Directional Dash beats raw speed when ten players compress the same choke point.
Slide (C) — stability on thin geometry
Slide lowers your hitbox and stabilizes movement on narrow ledges, interior bridges, and exterior beams on the Update 1 Map. Use Slide when Void telegraphs begin and you are still on mid-height routes — it reduces knockback from other players during beta physics.
Chain Slide out of a Dash landing to maintain speed without overshooting small platforms. On mobile, Slide timing is slightly more forgiving if you pre-aim the camera before tapping C.
Double Jump — vertical insurance
Double Jump triggers on the second Space press while airborne. It is vertical insurance, not a distance tool — pair it with Dash toward a wall if you own Speed Gear for an immediate Wall Boost conversion.
Practice Double Jump on three different spawn climbs so muscle memory survives when disaster warnings steal your attention. The Beginner Guide covers first-session habits; this page assumes you already finished several rounds.
Gear movement extensions
Speed Gear: Space near a wall for Wall Boost — the defining Update 1 skill on tower walls during Void erosion. Power Gear: R for Air Blast mid-air saves, Hold Q for Power Dash gap crosses. Fusion Gear merges both after you master the individual lines.
Gear inputs stack on top of base movement — never skip learning Dash, Slide, and Double Jump because you bought Fusion early. See Gear Tier List for purchase order and Gear Controls for input detail.
Momentum routes for Update 1
The fastest Update 1 lines combine spawn → Dash → Slide on a bridge beam → Double Jump onto a tower lip → optional Wall Boost chain. Farm Volts along that vector instead of detouring to ground pickups that Void will erase.

Practice progression
Session 1: complete three climbs without Gear. Session 2: add Dash+Slide chains on the same climbs. Session 3: add Double Jump corrections on misreads. Session 4: integrate Wall Boost after Speed Gear unlock. Session 5: test full routes under live Void rotation.
Record where you lose momentum — clipped corners, late Slides, and panic Dashes off voided tiles are the top three killers in community footage.
